Join us for our netWORK series, where we partner with a local non-profit and invite our Greater Northampton Chamber community to participate in a project to benefit that organization.
Grow Food Northampton community farm work party!
Join us for a work party on the 121-acre Grow Food Northampton community farm located on a historic plot in the flood plains of the Mill River. This vital resource both provides food for community members facing food insecurity and helps protect the Mill River ecosystem through practicing and advocating for sustainable farming practices throughout the region.
We will do some weeding, plant trees in riparian buffers and hedgerows, and plant some fall veggies. Please note that volunteers must be able to kneel and bend over. All volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
The day's work will be broken up into 2 shifts with a maximum of 30 volunteers in total. Please choose one of two time slots when registering:
First Shift 9:00am-11:00am
Second Shift 1:00pm-3:00pm
