Event Description:
Join us for our netWORK series, where we partner with a local non-profit and invite our Greater Northampton Chamber community to participate in a project to benefit that organization.
Food sorting at The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts!
Each year, the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts receives millions of pounds of food, including frozen meat, produce, and dray goods. For our October netWork event, we will be sorting donations for distribution at food pantries, meal sites, mobile food banks, and brown bag programs for elders in need throughout Western Massachusetts.
Please note that volunteers must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. All volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes and clothes they don't mind getting dirty. Volunteers may bring water in clear plastic containers; all other foods and drinks are not allowed in the warehouse.
