Workshop: Using Excel Pivot Tables to Analyze Your Business's Data

Pivot Tables are Excel’s most powerful tool for data analysis. A pivot table lets you easily separate data by various criteria into rows and columns in order to extract significant information from large, complex data sets. For example, you can use a pivot table to analyze sales data by salesperson, by product, by product category, or by sales dates in order to find out which salespersons, products, or product categories are most/least profitable, or what date ranges are most lucrative for specific products or product categories. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to create and customize pivot tables using your own data. Designed for users who are comfortable with Excel basics and have little or no experience with Excel pivot tables. Participants are encouraged to bring laptops and follow along with the instructor, but this is not required.
