About All Out Adventures: This will be the second annual Plunge for Adventure, a fundraising event to support the availability of outdoor recreation programming for people who have disabilities, seniors, and veterans throughout our area. We currently run about 180 outdoor recreation programs in all seasons for over 2,000 program participants of all ages and abilities each year. We have 3 significant goals with the plunge:
1) Financially support the programs that we are currently offering
2)Support our next step: Developing an equipment lending program so that individuals of all abilities can access our adaptive equipment, ranging from handcycles and recumbent trikes to hiking wheelchairs, to access the incredible outdoor recreation resources of Western MA on their own or with their family and loved ones outside of our programs.
3)Bring people together for a fun, community-building day at one of our beloved program locations.
Volunteers will support the event in a variety of ways, from set-up and clean-up, to assisting plunge participants during the event. We will have jobs for all physical abilities - plenty of heavy object moving for set-up and clean-up! as well as administrative table-based support like sign-in and collecting waivers.
